Results of the survey on the impact of digitization on the lives of European citizens

The European people have expressed their ideas regarding the creation of structures around the modernization and digitization of public services. A survey has been carried out in 28 countries of the European community and was carried out on December 6 and 19, 2019.

Citizens have shared their opinion about the inclusion of new technologies and how these could affect their way of life and the environment around them. The topics consulted have been very diverse, from the durability and recyclability of electronic devices, the treatment of personal data, the Fake News and other forms of disinformation, their skills with new technological tools, employability, etc.

One of the sections of the survey is dedicated to identification in electronic services. Regarding the most used authentication methods, the majority of users have responded that it corresponds to the use of email / username and password (29%), followed by multi-factor authentication services (28%) and the use of biometric identification (22%).
